Promo art for Dude Man

Been so busy with work and working on two games in my free time, I forget to update my personal blog from time to time. Well fear not! I wanted to share some promotional art I just finished for the Dude Man title I've been working on. The idea is that a dying god of Metal has given Dude Man his powers, so I wanted to make something a bit more dramatic but still work with the cartoon style of Dude Man. Here it is!

Dota 2 armor set - Red Chaos

Trying my hand at the big Dota 2 armor set craze. I'm going to be making a set for the blood seeker but I'm going to do it in baby steps. I'm making the helmet and weapons first and put them up on the steam workshop.

Once I get the pipeline down I will do the rest.

Started Zbrushing the helmet. Going to have to put this on hold for a few days while I finish up another task...

What time is it!?!??!

UPDATE 1-27-13

Just finished it up. It ended up with a bit of a war hammer table top vibe.

UPDATE  1-23-13

Changed the tower type to something that makes a bit more sense. I also sketched out what I'm thinking of doing. I plan to add more than this but this is more of a thought process sketch than a "what I think it will look like finished" sketch...

UPDATE  1-22-13

Started the tower but I don't think it's working super well. The overhang is cool but being tacked on to a big stone slab doesn't really make much sense. I have an idea though...

Taking a break from my playing around in unreal. I'm making a clock tower in Zbrush. Wan't to try and make something almost exclusively in Zbrush. I've had a 5 hour energy though and I think I'm focusing too much on the clock atm...

48 hour game jam project progress

I've been doing  a 48 hour game jam this weekend with 2 friends. We're doing a small mobile game called Dude Man. It's been unfinished collecting dust for a bit since work has been pretty busy, so we want to do a lot of work in a little bit of time. About half way through. Just thought I'd post some of the art I've been doing for the game...

Been watching a lot of Feng Zhu tutorials from his site and was pretty inspired by his very loose approach to things so I  wanted to start trying to capture mood more than worry so much about detail. Will be doing more of these...

I did my first live stream tonight on and that was pretty cool. I mean, no one watched, but it was still cool to do. Did some thumbnails and took one a bit further to turn into a painting tomorrow...
